How Google Search Engine Work?

Before you try to get into first page of Google, you must understand how Google rank the web pages.

There are many factors in search engines to rank the web pages.
The two main factors are-
- Content ( relevant to the keyword)
- Backlinks ( links to your page from many web pages)

For example, If internet user type the keyword “Spectacle” in Google search box, Google search the websites which relevant to the keyword.
Is the web page “ Relevant” to the keyword being searched on?
· Keyword in title?
· Keyword in headings?
· Keyword in text?
But, there are still millions of websites which are relevant to this keyword. Google has to arrange this millions of websites in parity to show in result pages. The most important 10 web pages are shown in first page. The second important 10 web pages are shown in second page and so on.

How Google decide which websites are more important?

Google has to decide which websites are more important among the million of websites which containing this keyword. Professional web design? Professional web content ? Wrong! Google is program. He doesn’t know how your web design is so beautiful. Professional web content may help you a bit. Google can know that your web site is more relevant to this keyword.

You can easily put your targeted keyword in your header, body content. Everybody can do it. Google decide on the factor which you cannot do it yourself. It is Back Links. If your site is very useful, many other websites will link to you. Google decide on how many websites are linking to your websites. You cannot manipulate it.

Google decide on quality and quantity links to your site. Quality links mean the links come from high ranking websites. If Microsoft, Apple websites are linking to your website, your website Page Rank (PR value) will be high. But, you cannot manipulate it. It will be very difficult to get the link from them. Page Rank (PR) value range from 0 to 10. Google and Yahoo websites have PR 10. New websites have PR 0.

Figure 1

Figure 2.

In the Fig1, Web site A has 6 back links but these links are not quality link because they have no back links. Their PR values are zero.
In Fig. 2, Website B has only 4 back links but these links are quality link. They also have back links.
So, you guess, Website A and Website B, which one has high PR value? Of course, Website B has high PR value because of quality links.
How back links are very important to website? I will prove you now. You type “click here” in Google search box. Adobe acrobat reader will get in 1st position in 1st page. Millions of websites say “ To download acrobat reader Click here”. Hyperlink this “ click here” to Adobe Acrobat Reader. So, Adobe Acrobat Reader get 1st position for “Click Here” keyword.
Example:
WebPage No.1, To protect your eyes, you should wear Spectacles. ( hyperlink to your website) WebPage No.2, You check your eyes in our clinic and then buy Spectacles. ( hyperlink to your website)
WebPage No.3, To match with your suits , you can choose suitable Spectacles, Click here. ( hyperlink to your website)
If your websites have very useful information about spectacles, many websites will link to your website instead of explaining about spectacles in their websites.
In these 3 examples, links from webpage No.1 and No.2 help your website to rank higher for “Spectacles” keyword.
WebPage 3 link to you but it never help you to rank higher for “Spectacles”. It only help for “ Click here” keyword.
